Under the Dark Tree
Step into the eerie world of 'Under the Dark Tree' where you will challenge your vocabulary skills while trying to guess words written in black metal font, hidden amongst the twisted roots of a mysterious tree. With every incorrect guess, the tree's branches fall down, adding to the tension. Can you solve all the cryptic word puzzles before it's too late?
Game was made as a submission to Global Game Jam '23. Theme of the jam was "Roots".

Works surprisingly well!
Its fun how sometimes I didn't guess the word correctly, but still was able to guess it when other letters were revealed.
Is there difficulty progression in it? It did feel like the difficulty of them was a bit random so I'm wondering if it was working towards something harder in the end or not.
There are several different "root systems" that make the letters harder or easier to see. Otherwise it's only about words getting longer and you have fewer lives. We might also add timer that would make you lose life every xx seconds when we feel like it :D
